The first thing that
happened is that the owners took back control
over their product and hired an attorney to
write up a legal document and sent it to each
person who was selling the Jewel Jet to make all
of them conform to a new pricing structure and
those who didn't were no longer able to wholesale or retail their product.
In the end only a few
tried to work around the new rules, today
everyone who sells this Jewelry cleaner sells it
for the same price. I take no credit for this
action all we did is have a round table meeting
and it was decide that was how they would first
gain control over their product.
We analyzed their web
site and
it only took one look to
understand their ranking problem; the entire
site was designed using flash. Second all of the
html coding that spiders and crawlers use to
rank a web page were not present.
Their marketing pitch needed some refining and
it was decided this product needed a short video
so they could demonstrate how the Jewel Jet
worked. We did not have a lot of content to work
with since the client was writing it as fast as
we designed the new web pages. Once the site was
restructured to become an e-commerce web site
everything was geared towards sales and service;
even offering a board on the site so customers
could rant and rave about the product.
It was decided that instead
of making landing pages for some of the better
keywords that we would use both Google and Yahoo
sponsored ad programs to jump start sells and be
pro-active in our sales methodology.
The decisions that
were made on behalf of this web site have paid
off. In less than one year this web site has
sold over $225,000.00 in product and sales
continue to climb on a monthly basis, the owners
could not be more pleased.
