The first thing we did
was perform a keyword report and spent time
performing blind web searches to see what would
pop up.
The result of that
work reveled to us that folks were using a
variation of car accidents, car wrecks and
traffic accidents.
The owners settled in on
using all 3 phrases as their title tag. To date
we have not changed the title tag in over 7
years and they have ranked as high as 1st and
has low as 17th on both Google and Yahoo
over the course of 7 years and numerous search
engine revisions in their ranking criteria.
Instead of placing
all of their products in a data base or into a
shopping cart system it was decided we would go
with static html pages
for each product and try and get them ranked by
their product name only. Today I'm proud to say
that 5 years later we still rank in the top 5
for park zone 1500 or park zone on both Google
and Yahoo.
We use the proper
naming structure for all of our title tags and
description tags as well as other numerous
metags. We place keyword phrases throughout our
content so the search engines know what each
page is representing to the internet public.
